Moby was one of the most controversial figures in techno music, alternately praised for bringing a face to the notoriously anonymous electronic genre and scorned by hordes of techno artists and fans for diluting and trivializing the form. In either case, Moby was one of the most important dance music figures of the early '90s, helping bring the music to a mainstream audience both in England and in America. Moby fused rapid disco beats with heavy distorted guitars, punk rhythms, and detailed productions that drew equally from pop, dance, and movie soundtracks. Not only did his music differ from both the cool surface textures of ambient music and the hedonistic world of house music, but so did his lifestyle; Moby was infamous for his devout, radical Christian beliefs, as well as his environmental and vegan activism. "Go" became a British Top Ten hit in 1991, establishing him as one of the premier techno producers. By the time he came to the attention of American record critics with 1995's Everything Is Wrong, his following from the early '90s had begun to erode, particularly in Britain. Nevertheless, he remained one of the most recognizable figures within techno; after he abandoned the music for guitar rock with 1996's Animal Rights, he returned to a heavy electronic base with 1997's I Like to Score and 1999's Play, the latter of which made him a genuine breakout pop star. Born Richard Melville Hall, Moby received his nickname as a child; it derives from the fact that ... Author: LEXXTEX4 Duration: 3:26

Song that was performed during TDOL's later shows. This was the video used as the backdrop. It was cobbled together using various rough 30-second video clips recorded on an old Nikon 995. Someday a proper vocal version of this song will be recorded, but for now - enjoy. More TDOL stuff can be downloaded at conifer-enviro.com/downloads. Lyrics: When I look into the mirror Am I staring at myself In the way that you perceive me Or am I someone else? Deep inside I'm just an echo Another blind facsimile Imitating your reflection In a light that you can't see I'm common I'm regular And I wear the same shoes as you And I breathe the same air as you I'm common I'm regular And I shed the same tears as you And I cut the same way I bleed the same as you I'm not indestructible I am naked, I can crawl Ordinary to be treated in this way Fascinated in the words you say Take my hand, it's so familiar Nothing alien or strange Reaching out for your connection in a world we cannot change I'm common I'm regular And I wear the same shoes as you And I breathe the same air as you And I fall the same way I deviate the same as you And I wear the same shoes as you And I breathe the same air as you And I beg the same joy as you And I feel the same pain as you And I shed the same tears as you And I fall the same way as you And I cut the same way I bleed the same as you Author: Kirk Taylor Duration: 4:33

Rhythm Of The Road VS 1 Take a ride with me I'll show everything Inside the city lines If it's the beat you seek Well listen carefully She's a mystery VS 2 You can hear her speak The dance is in your feet open up your mind It's in the frequency of the air we breathe record and rewind Chorus It's the rhythm of the road Take the wheel let it steer you home Feel the rhythm of the road close your eyes let it take control VS 3 I find it interesting The level of intrigue I've got you questioning What you once believed I see crumbling before your eyes Original Song by Jonie Blinman Copyright 2012 Author: bookingjonieblinman Duration: 4:01

Going for a little Depeche Mode feel, here. mirandadoerfler.com Lyrics Close your eyes and let the darkness take you. No more lies, no light to bring you down. Lose yourself in something so imperfect. Just don't tell, and you'll never be found. I can take you away from here, I can make you afraid to fear. I can show you the end of misery's friend if you let me... Turn it up, turn it up louder, til your eardrums burst, your blood will turn to dust. Turn it up, turn it up louder, til there's nothing left but heart theft, if you must. Don't leave me in this deafening silence... Please, turn it up. It's so hard, every second is a struggle. I am marred, by every moment spent away. But your soul, is deep within me all the time now. I am whole. I just wish you were here to stay. You can take me away from here. You can make me afraid to fear. I have always been numb, but you made me feel something I need, now... Turn it up, turn it up louder, til your eardrums burst. your blood will turn to dust. Turn it up, turn it up louder, til there's nothing left but heart theft, if you must. Don't leave me in this deafening silence... Please, turn it up. Life is better when I tune it out. But with you, without a shadow of a doubt, I can breathe again. I can feel, my friend. I'm reminded that I'm more than just the dark... Turn it up, turn it up louder, til your eardrums burst, your blood will turn to dust. Turn it up, turn it up louder, til there's nothing left but heart theft, if you must ... Author: DRSAICO Duration: 5:05
