Emotional farewell for Meagher's family FRIENDS and family of Jill Meagher have spoken of her unique personality, passion for life and her love of crazy shoes and literature in a moving funeral ceremony in Melbourne's north. Jill's father, mother, brother, husband and two friends have spoken to hundreds who gathered for her funeral at Fawkner Memorial Park. The hour-long ceremony ended with Jill's mother, father, brother and husband releasing 29 doves, one for each year of Jill's life and as a symbol of her free spirit.
