This is the story of the first time I ever heard that song." -cQii * * * "Reeling" I'm hanging on your words; knowing that the day will come when I never hear their grace again. Distracted by the darkness, you find yourself alone in spite of all your better worth. Helpless as your very hopes slip through your mortal grasp. I wish I knew what you truly think of me. Once so free and lively, you never failed acknowledge my presence despite the better crowd which lay between us. I wonder what deters your gaze. Do you think of me as often as I try not to think of you? Living on your breath; I'm reeling in the scent of your long and darken'd locks. Hardly daring to breathe lest I hurt you any further. I wish I could but free you of these chains you've long since learned to endure. You must understand that I did not feel this way toward you before. For true, such things were last to cross my mind; knowing all I truly wished for was a friend. 'Twas this very sense of trust which drew me to your side. Feeling with your skin; I'm lost yet flying free. Fighting 'gainst my selfish will as I aim to tread but lightly on your o so fragile heart. Ever watching from without. So close, yet o so far away. I'm sorry I deceived you as the music led the way. I dared not move or breathe for fear I'd frighten you away. I was not truly sleepy; merely reeling in your eyes. Falling through emotions as you <b>...</b>
